Ariake Kumiko Cabinet

The Kumiko Cabinet range was designed by Staffan Holm, who noticed the strong visual aspect of using Kumiko screens as ornamental objects but beyond that as privacy screens. The incorporation of Kumiko screens into the cabinet enables onlookers to see through the screen and see the finer details of the cabinet, but it also hinders a clear look into the storage unit.

To further draw on Kumiko screens, Staffan encourages owners to place lighting in the cabinet, so as to create a warm feeling in a room. Kumiko screens create a similar warm feeling when light is shone through them.
