Hardwood Furniture and Joinery

Thor’s Hammer builds high quality furniture and joinery from recycled Australian hardwoods. Our custom made pieces include dining tables, book shelves, kitchen bench tops, entry doors and fit outs for bars and restaurants.

We believe in building to last so we always use traditional joining techniques. We do not just rely on glues. Timbers to be laminated into table tops are edge profiled to fit together. Table legs and rails are mortise and tenoned. Our cabinetmakers and joiners have high level skills with timber which are increasingly rare in these days of MDF and plastic laminates.

Throughout our production process we use low toxic glues and natural based resins and fillers. Our pieces are finished with the Osmo oils from Germany which are based on natural oils, non toxic and approved safe for children’s toys and food safe when dry.
