Adventurous, Adaptable, All Electric – Merri Creek House

A partnership between MINI and green magazine presents a video series on residential architecture that is at the cutting edge in terms of energy usage and adaptability.

This home looks over Merri Creek in Melbourne’s inner north and is a great example of how existing homes present an opportunity and potential to be adapted to improve functionality and thermal comfort. It is fully electric with a 16.15kw solar array on the roof and two batteries. Breathe Architecture’s brief was to make the house more thermally efficient without losing any of its original charm.
