Vivid 2015

Decor + Design is pleased to announce applications are now open for VIVID 2015, Australia’s longest running design competition and innovation showcase for new and emerging furniture designers. Professional designers in business less than five years and current students of design are invited to submit their new furniture or lighting products.

Celebrating its 13th year in 2015 and highly anticipated, VIVID at Decor + Design is again hunting for Australia’s best new design talent. A curated selection of the best new products will be shown at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, from Thursday 16 July 2015 until Sunday 19 July 2015. Australian International Furniture Fair is Australia’s foremost design and furniture event, attracting the local and international design industry.

VIVID 2015 will present an inspiring range of designs across both market-ready and prototype furniture and lighting categories. Over the thirteen year’s VIVID has assisted over 650 designers with more than 1,000 products to kick start their careers. Past winners include Marc Pascal, Ross Gardnam, David Harwick, Ash Allen, Dale Hardiman and Adam Lynch.

Curator of the VIVID program, Caroline Caneva is keen to see this year’s entries and announce the judging panel as well as lucrative prize pool. “Last year saw a high calibre of entrants and this year’s finalists will be our most impressive showcase of design talent yet. An international line up of high profile judges will be announced shortly as well as the prizes which include prize money and other converted opportunities,” says Caroline Caneva.
