Transitions Film Festival

Now in its fourth year, The Transitions Film Festival is Australia’s largest sustainability film festival.

Covering topics such as social and technological innovation, renewable energy, community empowerment, eco-architecture, collaborative consumption, global movements, ecological economics and consciousness, the festival aims to inspire audiences with stories of hope, resilience and action.

Amongst an impressive program green magazine will present a film on March 3 at Cinema Nova. Microtopia explores how architects, artists and ordinary problem-solvers are pushing their own limits and finding ingenious and innovative forms of habitation. Modern nomads, homeless vagabonds, artists in stress, people in need of privacy or seclusion: we hear about the personal reasons behind the dwellings, and see how they actually work.

On the sidewalk, on rooftops, in industrial landscapes and in nature, we see and feel how these abodes live up to the dreams of their creators. Featuring a host of eccentric characters and some of the leading thinkers from the worlds of art and design, and the booming ‘tiny house’ movement, this film showcases the possibilities for living portably, flexibly and independently.

Thanks to Transitions Film Festival we have a free DOUBLE PASS to give away to MICROTOPIA
