Tall Order
In a notable first for this publication, we present a house designed for giraffes.
Growing numbers of the long-necked creatures at Auckland Zoo called for new digs, bringing together Pac Studio, Monk Mackenzie and Glamuzina Architects in association. Responding to what we’re sure is one of the group’s more singular briefs to-date, the project includes two dens and a keeper area, complete with movable doors and walls for simple reconfiguration of the space. Although it’s hard to say for sure, the giraffes must be well pleased.
