Do it on the Roof
Do it on the Roof is a new green infrastructure consultancy based in Melbourne. It began life as a campaign to create a public green roof for Melbourne residents. Today it delivers expert advice, design and project management for green roofs and walls – but they have not forgotten their roots as a public campaign.
Do it on the Roof are unusual in the industry because they don’t just focus on design and construction, they also actively engage with the community. They run tours to green sites across Melbourne, deliver workshops and run education programs. This March, Do it on the Roof celebrated the launch of their unique ‘Sustainability Rover’, a mobile trailer complete with green roof and solar panels. The Rover will visit schools throughout Melbourne, delivering energy efficiency incursions as part of the ‘Plants & Panels’ program.
As a partner of 202020 vision, Do it on the Roof are committed to increasing urban greenery throughout all of their business activities and revenue streams. Their mission is to create beautiful, wild, ecologically rich green roofs that make a significant contribution to bringing nature back into the city. They want to restore Melbourne to its roots as the garden city and they believe that the community want this too.
