Planet Planet workshop

Planet Planet  is a two-hour workshop created to discover what is inside every fruit and vegetable in your imagination. The workshop will start with art and design appreciation, followed by a guided creative meditation, fruit and vegetable carving technique demonstration, a mystery box challenge that unlocks your imagination, and finally, you will learn tricks to bring your sculpture to life through photography.

The event is being held as a part of Superlocalstudio’s 2016 Sweet Nature program in collaboration with Mundane Matters – a project by Sydney-based designer and artist, Danling Xiao, that unites food sculpture and photography together with important insights and philosophies. The joint venture ‘aims to strengthen our connection with nature as well as with ourselves’. Mundane Matters.

Danling Xiao will lead the workshop. Drawing inspiration from meditation, art and philosophy, Danling has been creating fruit and vegetable sculptures almost every day for the past year.
