Issue 102

Issue 102 comes out March 3rd. Order on its own or as part of a subscription.

In this issue, we profile not-for-profit organisation InPlace, established by CEO Eugene Howard in 2018 in order to restore and revitalise the historic houses at Laughing Waters in Eltham, Victoria, which were at that time abandoned and in a state of disrepair.

g102 - profile

Our feature article in this issue is reflective of our society and its diversity of needs. As Australia grapples with a housing crisis, architects and developers are rethinking the way we live. Each of the featured projects highlights a progressive approach to medium density housing through simple, effective and robust design solutions – all grounded by community and sustainability.

Projects by: Assemble (development), Hayball (architecture), and Oculus (landscape design); Curious Practice (architecture), Built By Eli (development and construction), and Mud Landscape Design (landscape design); ME (architecture) and A And J Building (construction); Neometro (development), Common Ground Architecture (architecture), and Mud Office (landscape design); and Collins And Turner (architecture) and Gallagher Studio (landscape design).
