Re-Love by Feast Watson

Timber specialists Feast Watson has partnered with four renowned Australian designers – Steve Cordony, Sarah Ellison, Natalie Turnbull and Nat Wheeler and Kristy Sadlier of norsu Interiors – to raise money for Australian charities through its annual Re-Love Project.

Re-Love by Feast Watson is the brand’s premiere collaborative charity campaign, which sees top Australian designers upcycle and transform pre-loved timber furniture into one-of-a-kind auction pieces in the name of their chosen charity.

The expertly crafted items will be revealed across Feast Watson’s Re-Love Project website, the @feast_watson Instagram page, along with the four designers’ own social media channels, before being auctioned off in October.

Now in its sixth year, Feast Watson Brand Manager Jessica Plateo says this year’s designers have chosen a variety of unique pieces to highlight their personal and distinct styles, all for a good cause.

“Since its inception, we’ve raised more than $30 000 for Australian charities through Re-Love, while upcycling over 65 pieces of furniture. There is something very sentimental about rehoming pre-loved furniture, that showcase the amazing skill and inspiring journey of the designers as well as generating funds to support our charity partnerships.”

“By documenting the upcycle process on our social pages, we’re hoping to encourage Australian’s to take on the challenge to create their own unique pieces using tips and tricks they’ve seen on the Feast Watson Re-Love Project journey.”

This year’s group of designers brings passion to the project with their chosen charities benefiting from their efforts.

Steve Cordony has taken the challenge on for a second year raising money for the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation, which is close to his heart. His unique and theatrical style is sure to be a fan favourite.

Also returning for another year are norsu Interiors duo, Nat Wheeler and Kristy Sadlier, whose Scandinavian style will support Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer. With both their families touched by cancer, this year’s pieces are extra personal.

New to the Feast Watson Re-Love project is veteran stylist and ex-editor of Real Living magazine, Sarah Ellison who now runs her own namesake design business. She will be raising money for Livin, a charity which focuses on mental health and encourages youth to speak up and break the stigma around mental illness.

Melbourne-based stylist and art director Natalie Turnbull brings a bold and distinctive style to the Re-Love team. Her pieces will support Challenge, which provides daily support for children and families with cancer or a life-threatening blood disorder. As a cancer survivor and Challenge program participant, Nat’s passion is evident in her carefully crafted pieces.
