The Teapot Project exhibition

The Teapot Project is a collaboration between object designer-maker Kenny Yong-soo Son (Studiokyss) and prominent silversmith Hendrik Forster (Forster Studios). The duo’s evaluation of the social and historical meaning behind the humble teapot gives rise to exploration of their different cultural, generational and educational backgrounds – culminating in a shared design of a teapot with over 30 different variations in finish and appearance, handcrafted by Son and Forster.

The Teapot Project will be exhibited in Melbourne from 19 – 28 July 2019 at Modern Times Gallery before travelling to the ACT to be shown at Craft ACT from 31 October – 14 December 2019.
