The Design Files Design Awards
Great design doesn’t just look good – it adds value to the lives of the people who interact with it.
Great architecture improves neighbourhoods, expands the public realm and can change our experience of entire towns and cities. Sustainable design practices are literally changing the world, conjuring up new solutions for waste management, efficient energy consumption and more. Meanwhile, the minutiae of everyday life can be entirely transformed by clever, well designed interiors, furniture, lighting and handcrafted elements.
The inaugural Design Files Design Awards serve to document and celebrate the designers shaping Australian contemporary culture right now.
This is a diverse awards program which recognises the huge variety of creative fields thriving in modern Australia. It’s the only awards program which celebrates the best in residential architecture and interior design, alongside innovative new work by Australia’s most talented furniture designers, craft practitioners, floral designers, textile designers, stylists, art directors and more.
Much like the wide reach of The Design Files website, these awards will inspire a broad audience, expanding the perception and understanding of Australian design and creativity – as well as demonstrating the power of great design, to enhance daily life, and to change the world around us.
