Grow It Local hits Melbourne

The only thing better than growing your own food is eating it and that’s exactly what Grow it Local, a freshly sprouted local project launching this week is all about.

Whether you’re a seasoned expert or just have a few herbs on your windowsill, Grow it Local invites you to show what you’re growing by plotting your patch on the map at www.growitlocal.com.au and sharing your tips, tricks and quirky gardening ideas with other locals via the Grow it Local facebook page.

Register your patch to be eligible for a Golden Ticket to an invitation-only Local Growers’ Feast. Chef-extraordinaire Vanessa Mateus from Pope Joan will courageously turn the homegrown contributions into the Feast within less than 24 hours!

Free packets of Diggers Clubs seeds including salad, veggies and herbs are available to start you on your way. Keep your eye the Grow it Local facebook page to find out how to get yours.

Grow It Local is a Feature Event at the Sustainable Living Festival and funded by the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation.
