Think Brick Horbury Hunt Residential Award

Think Brick Awards is rewarding innovative brick design with a $10,000 cash prize on offer and a chance to win a Business Class trip for two to Venice in 2016.
The winner of the Horbury Hunt Residential category will walk away with the prestigious award at the richest design competition in the country.
Every year since the Awards evolved to include the Horbury Hunt categories in 2008, the category attracts Australian architects entering their contemporary residential built brick designs.
Think Brick CEO Elizabeth McIntyre said the success of the awards was due to continuous demonstrated quality of brick craftsmanship used in Australian homes. “We are always excited to see the projects that are entered and how inspiring today’s architects are when building the Australian family home with brick” she said. “Architects are taking advantage of bricks’ range of colours and textures, creating magnificent innovative designs and Think Brick continue to reward this excellence.”
Last year’s winner in this category was Owen and Vokes and Peters with their Four- Room Cottage design of a family home in Brisbane’s inner suburbs which showcased the very essence of the awards.
For the first time since the Awards inception in 2005, a Grand Prix Award will be presented to the best nomination across the five categories. The winner will win the business class tickets for two people to Venice Biennale 2016.

All nominations are to be completed online at www.thinkbrick.com.au before 5pm Friday, May 23 2014.
