VELUX FCM Flat Roof Skylight
The VELUX FCM Flat Roof Skylight is a versatile, high performance daylighting solution designed specifically for flat and low pitch roof applications. With its clean, minimal aesthetic and robust construction, the FCM is widely used in contemporary residential extensions, hallways, living spaces, and commercial projects where natural light is essential but ventilation is not required.
The FCM features high performance glazing that delivers excellent thermal insulation, solar heat control, and UV protection, helping maintain comfortable indoor temperatures throughout the year. Its laminated inner pane enhances safety, while the toughened outer pane provides durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions. The skylight’s slim frame design maximises the visible glass area, allowing more natural light to enter the space and creating a bright, open interior environment.
Architects value the FCM for its simplicity, reliability, and compatibility with a wide range of roof types. It is suitable for roof pitches between 0 and 60 degrees when installed with appropriate custom made flashing (not supplied by VELUX), ensuring a watertight and long lasting installation. The FCM is available in both standard residential sizes and large commercial formats, enabling high volume daylight delivery in larger spaces. It is certified for use in cyclone regions and is included in the Northern Territory Deemed to Comply Manual (NTDTCM) — currently the only available skylight listed.
