CLAY VESSELS at Safari Living
We are so pleased to present these clay vessels made by the women of Kalporegan (within the Sistan and Baluchistan province, Iran). They have been producing pottery for their own use for over 7000 years and are recognised by UNESCO as the oldest pottery production in the world.
Created by sourcing clay from the surrounding deserts, and dye from local plants and rocks, this craft has been handed from generation to generation.
