HIP V. HYPE welcomes Better Buildings Lead to further sustainability agenda

HIP V.HYPE has welcomed Clare Parry to the team as Lead of Better Buildings, marking a step forward in the capability and capacity of HIP V. HYPE’s integrated sustainability business.

Clare joins HIP V. HYPE with over 12 years’ experience in delivering high performance buildings, including as the Director and Principal Consultant of Grün Consulting and as a Director of the Australian Passive House Foundation. As head of the Better Buildings team, Clare provides advice and technical analysis to improve the health, comfort and efficiency outcomes of our built environment.

“I really get involved in projects to really challenge the way that they’re pursuing sustainability; so pushing them harder to make sure what they want gets realised in practice,” Clare explains of her role. “It’s been quite enlightening, actually.”

Liam Wallis, Director of HIP V. HYPE adds that Clare’s appointment is an exciting opportunity, noting: “An integrated and evidence-based approach to sustainability is integral to improving the performance, longevity and overall quality of the buildings that make up our cities. Clare’s technical expertise and experience on numerous industry-leading projects is an important addition to our sustainability team.”

Looking to the future, Clare welcomes applying her expertise to projects with social agendas. “I’m really looking forward to getting involved with some community-based and social housing projects that are coming in. That’s something we target a lot, improving the quality of buildings – particularly for those who need them most.”

“[Sustainability] to me … means doing things that are good for everyone and everything.”
