The New Joneses

The New Joneses’ awarded, ‘off-grid’ home pops-up in City Square, showing lifestyles choices, from our dunny-paper to our bank, that positively impact our people & planet.

Previously, arriving in undies and bathrobes, ‘unlikely eco-warriors’, TV presenters and celebrities, (Denise Drysdale and Ch7 Sunrise team) have lived in The New Joneses’ house, experiencing zero-waste, reduced and ethical consumption, energy-efficiency, no food waste, electric vehicles, and going chemical free.

On public display for the first time in Australia, Enphase‘s world-first, game-changing, home energy-system with solar battery-storage enables not just generation, but storage of solar power for later use, heralding this century’s biggest energy innovation.

Showcasing Ecoliv’s stylish little-living, paired with smart-home innovation (SENGLED LEDs with built-in speakers, security cameras and wifi boosters), BMW i3’s all-electric vehicle, to old-fashioned tips (chooks, composting and worm farms), The New Joneses’ temporary pop-up for permanent change is FREE and open Feb 9-27, 12noon-6pm weekdays, 12noon-4pm weekends.

Traditionally, the phrase, ‘Keeping up with the Joneses’ compares us to others, using ‘stuff’ to measure our ‘value’. The New Joneses are the poster children for the growing, global, lifestyle-movement ‘living it up, with less’, making small lifestyle changes for big environmental and social impacts. Featured at Sustainable Living Festival, The New Joneses offers talks, workshops & films. Go to: thenewjoneses.com for the chance to win a smart-home LED installation.
