Living in a Material World: A One-Day Course for Designers & Specifiers

Living in a Material World is a one-day trade-only course designed to challenge traditional approaches to materials and equip creatives with the knowledge and strategies to lead the shift toward circular design. Through realistic processes and actionable insights, participants will explore material composition, waste as a resource, and how to design with the end in mind.

In a circular economy, understanding material flow isn’t optional—it’s essential. Designers and specifiers who want to stay relevant must go beyond development and production, taking ownership of the full lifecycle of the materials they work with.

It’s time to rethink the way we design, produce, and reuse materials—taking inspiration from nature, where nothing goes to waste. With mandatory Scope 3 reporting on the horizon, Australian suppliers are stepping up, adapting, and building new expertise in materiality.

CDT’s in-person, hands-on course will provide the practical tools to navigate these changes with confidence. Join others in the industry and be ready for what’s next whilst earning CPD points through the DIA.
