Adelaide Street House

This house evolved from a challenging site (a narrow triangular shape with an east-west slope and a watercourse) and multi-layered design brief (a house for the owner, with the potential for an aging parent to move in at a later date). The site constraints, coupled with this requirement for flexibility and both private and shared inside and outside spaces, and a highly energy-efficient envelope, provided the foundation for the building form, layout, and selection of materials and finishes.
