Edwin Fox Mid-Century Furniture Restoration Workshop at Walsh Street
Returning to Walsh Street for the third year, join Edwin Fox as he demonstrates how to deconstruct and repair beloved mid-century furniture pieces – hosted by The Robin Boyd Foundation.
Fox’s workshops cover the basics of deconstruction, timber stripping, sanding , refinishing, upholstery and aftercare. Each session is a journey through the various living zones in our iconic house museum. If you have cherished pieces of mid century furniture in need of restoration, learn from an expert, versed in sustainable products and techniques.
Presenter: Edwin Fox
Edwin runs Edwin Fox Furniture, an independent restoration and furniture store. Specialising in mid-century, he hopes that through his work to connect the importance of sustainability, reducing waste while working with inspiring objects from the past.
Edwin has a background in art and design, including a National Vocational Qualification in traditional upholstery. Edwin has channeled his skills and energy into the physical aspects of design, whereby his career has now evolved into the restoration of furniture here in Melbourne.
