CUSP: Designing into the Next Decade

In 2016, one of the most significant contemporary exhibitions of design produced in Australia within the last ten years returns to Sydney. CUSP: Designing into the Next Decade presents the future through five designers working on the cuspĀ of what is possible.

Featuring the works of Floyd Mueller, Greg More, Leah Heiss, Stephen Mushin and Super Critical Mass, the designers look deeply at the human problems we face today by asking questions and devising creative solutions through their design practice.

CUSP is a major creative program that launched in 2013 and unfolded over two years as a touring exhibition, a laboratory and learning incubator. To date, the exhibition has been seen by over 50,000 people around the country.

Australian Design Centre director, Steven Pozel, sees the return of the exhibition as a way to connect with audiences beyond regional venues.Ā

ā€œAfter two very successful years of touring around Australia, we are excited to bring CUSP home to Sydney for the first time. The exhibition has been so well received around the country. It is a truly visionary insight into the innovative potential of design,” said Pozel.
