MPavilion Presents: Deborah Cheetham AO & Dhungala Children’s Choir

On Sunday 29 January, the Dhungala Children’s Choir will showcase a special performance under the striking MPavilion structure in the Queen Victoria Gardens from 2-3pm.

Enjoy a summer afternoon under the shaded MPavilion canopy while listening to the soothing sounds of the choir that will guide you through significant cultural connections.

The Dhungala Children’s Choir—led by Deborah Cheetham AO in the conductor’s role—will show why they are the peak choral performance group for Indigenous children in Victoria.

They’ll be performing songs from the Choral Connection Song Book and the Wominjeka Song Cycle written by Deborah to enable the children to reconnect with and celebrate their Indigenous language.

The collection of songs features the experiences and languages of Aboriginal Children from around Australia – brought to the heart of Melbourne for this incredible occasion.
