Landscape Australia Conference 2019 keynote speakers

With the theme of “Cultivating New Agencies” and an impressive line-up of local and international speakers, this year’s edition of the Landscape Australia Conference will examine the dynamic role of landscape in shaping our future through the design, planning and management of green space, cities and regions.

The conference will explore what Australian practitioners can learn from their local and international counterparts and the importance of understanding cultural context in a meaningful process of engagement and design.

The speakers will bring a diverse set of perspectives to the conversation, spanning landscape architecture, public art, architecture, urbanism, planning and policy, to ensure engaging and lively debate.

Emily Wong, editor of Landscape Architecture Australia, said: “We’re really excited to kick-start conversations around these practices – both the successes and the failures – and map potential ways forward that might encourage more imaginative and productive ways of addressing some of issues currently facing the environment, our communities and cities.”
