Waste Not Want Not

Developed by MINIWIZ in Taiwan, the TRASHPRESSO is the world’s first mobile plastics and fabric waste recycling plant. Housed in a portable 40-foot container platform and completely solar powered, the TRASHPRESSO project aims to bring industrial grade recycling to communities around the world on a moveable, automated and self-powered recycling platform that is totally deployable off-grid. Once stationed the TRASHPRESSO compacts the recycling process into five simple steps: shredding, washing, air drying, dehumidifying and baking. It also has an air and water filter that minimises the environmental impact of the operations. The waste itself is converted into versatile and resistant architectural tiles. Pretty nifty right?
