Living Edge’s Perth showroom by HASSELL synthesises the brand’s passion for longevity, simplicity and sustainability across three levels and some 1000-square-metres.

HASSELL pared back the 1900s merchant building to its bones, encouraging its rich heritage character to shine through simple interventions in the form of sculptural inserts and a refined material palette which features dark bluestone, burnished steel and brass trim.

In such a dynamic space, Living Edge’s brands appear right at home. Names including Herman Miller, Walter Knoll, BassamFellows, Muuto and BD Barcelona are designated their own areas, fostering an immersive customer experience. The environment is not overlooked, either: “WELL certification is important to us as an organisation, showing that we adhere to our sustainability values and this gets recognised by an industry body,” elaborates CEO Aidan Mawhinney.

“To feel we have been able to influence the base build in the use of materials and the processes used in the renovation work to achieve certification is something we are very proud of.”
